Dr Rasitha (Rusty) Tennakoon is a Consultant Physician in Geriatric and General Medicine. Dr Tennakoon is focused on providing a caring and comprehensive service for every patient and family with an emphasis on general well-being and health. Dr Tennakoon aims to provide personalised care and assessment, using an integrated approach towards medicine and health issues.

Dr Tennakoon is currently working for Eastern Health and is involved in teaching and training Physician trainees and students. In addition to Eastern Health Dr Tennakoon is accredited to treat patients at Ringwood Private Hospital and Melbourne Eastern Private Hospital

Dr Ljiljana (Lilliana) Lacey is a specialist in Acute and General Medicine providing inpatient consultations at Knox private and Ringwood private hospitals. She graduated from Deakin University in 2012 before completing her clinical training at Eastern Health and Monash Health.

Dr Lacey also sees patients on on an outpatient basis at Victorian and Geriatric Medical Services in Ringwood East. GP referrals welcome.

Dr Shahram Sadeghi

MD, FAFRM, (RACP)

Rehabilitation Physician – Electrodiagnostic Specialist

Consulting Location: Ringwood East

Dr. Shahram Sadeghi is a graduate of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (Royal Australasian College of Physicians). He previously worked overseas as a specialist for more than 11 years in clinical and academic settings, including as a consulting physician and research assistant professor.

Dr. Sadeghi has a strong interest in musculoskeletal pain management —including low back pain, neck pain, spine pain, and limb pain — as well as entrapment neuropathies such as carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar neuropathy.

He performs nerve conduction studies (NCS/EMG) to accurately diagnose nerve and muscle conditions, ensuring a clear foundation for tailored treatment planning. His practice is focused on delivering timely, high-quality, and accessible assessments, in close collaboration with referring doctors and specialists.

Dr. Sadeghi has also published multiple international research papers in the fields of musculoskeletal pain and electrodiagnostic medicine in peer-reviewed journals.

In addition to English, he speaks Farsi (Persian) and Dari, which enables him to support a wider range of patients and families.

Dr Mitchell Munnings

BAppSC (Med Sc) MD, FRACP

Consultant Endocrinologist

Consulting Location: Ringwood East

Dr Mitchell Munnings completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, followed by physician training in Melbourne. He then undertook advanced training in endocrinology in both Melbourne and Tasmania, gaining experience in the management of a wide range of endocrine disorders.

He has published research in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences. He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Endocrine Society of Australia, Australian Diabetes Society, American Thyroid Association, and the Endocrine Society (USA), which help him maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and practice.

He values clear communication and collaborative decision-making, working with patients to help them understand their condition and feel confident in their treatment plan. He welcomes referrals across all areas of adult endocrinology, with particular clinical interests in thyroid and parathyroid disease, adrenal disorders, men’s health, metabolic bone disease (including osteoporosis), and diabetes technology.

Dr Thinza Moe

Consultant Physician and Geriatrician

Consulting Location: Ringwood East

Dr Moe is a Geriatrician and General Medicine physician. She completed her specialist training at Monash Health, Eastern Health and Peninsula Health. She currently holds a geriatrician position in Monash Health. Dr. Moe completed Master of Gerontology with research on behaviours and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) management in older adults with dementia living in the community.

Dr Moe is passionate in Preventive Health of older adults and Healthy Ageing. Her focus is on providing holistic care to optimize older adults’ quality of life. Her strengths are managing complex chronic medical issues, polypharmacy, falls reduction and managing behaviours and psychological symptoms of dementia.
